CNC’d Banjo Neck
I finally got a successful banjo neck today on my Shapeoko 5 Pro. I did the design from scratch in Solidworks and used Solidworks CAM to generate the g-code.
I’ve got most of the parts done but still needs a lot of work to complete. I’ve been videoing the progress and plan to put together a video of the complete build.
The rim was made first using a unique interlocking design that allowed for really easy clamping and perfect joints thanks to the CNC router.
The padauk fretboard that I completed a couple of weeks ago with mother-of-pearl inlay matches the neck EXACTLY. I’m really impressed with the Shapeoko 5 Pro.
